The Government has announced that benefits and credits due to be received on 19 September will be paid early.
Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II last week, it was announced that Monday 19 September – the day of the late Queen’s State Funeral – would be a bank holiday.
In line with standard procedure for the delivery of benefits on bank holidays, the Department of Work and Pensions stated that payments would be made on Friday 16 September – the last working day before the bank holiday.
The following payments will be brought forward:
- Attendance Allowance
- Carer’s Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Pension Credit
- Personal Independence Payment
- State Pension
- Universal Credit
- Child Benefit/Guardian’s Allowance
- Working Tax Credits
- Child Tax Credits
